Do I need a license to show the film if we're meeting at my home?

Nope. Watching the movie at someone's house is not considered a public showing, no matter how many people are in the group. A "public showing" is based on location, not on the number of people watching the movie. Anywhere outside of someone's home is considered a public showing and requires a film license.
